Tornado

As most of you know today across NC there were bad storms and tornados! Well my dad was traveling to Fayetville and was driving through some bad storms. He was listening to his truck radio about the weather alerts. A coworker called him to check on him because there was supposedly a tornado or circulation near where dad was. Well, as dad was talking to him he experienced something very scary! He had been driving through pouring rain and the sky was black. All of a sudden it stopped raining and the trees on the right side of the road were blowing one direction, and the trees on the left side of the road were being blown in the opposite direction. His big truck started shaking and his ears popped. He looked in his rear view mirror and all the cars behind him had slammed on their brakes as if avoiding what my dad was driving in. He made in through ok, but he thinks he was in a tornado or atleast the ground circulation of one, even if it wasn't the official ground to sky tornado. HOW SCARY! He said it really scared him. For our family that grew up on Florida in horrible storms, this says a lot. I praise God he is ok. Now i'm even more nervous about flying to Florida this weekend because we may be going through some bad storms because of the potential hurrican Gustav down in the gulf. Yikes. I can do without the bad storms, but I do love that we got much needed rain!
